Donate Your Used Vehicle To TSF

Recently I got the bad news that my 1994 Ford Explorer needed more than $2500 worth of major repairs. Had I done the repairs, it still was a high mileage car and if I was to sell, I may not recoup my repair expenses. Due to liability issues, my mechanic suggested donating it a rather than selling it to someone else.

After a bit of internet research, I found a local company that I donated my car to. I received a nice tax deduction based on Kelley Blue Book value (www.kbb.com) as recommended by the IRS. TSF received a nice donation!

The website I used was www.carshelpingamerica.org which is a local (New England) company. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will go to TSF.

This was a win/win situation. I receive a great tax deduction (please refer to IRS guidelines), TSF receives a nice donation, and someone just came and towed my old car away…that's all there was to it.
